AC MOTORS KD/DR

Single-phase capacitor motors Series KD.1 and three-phase motors Series DR.1

The motors are solidly designed and are maintenancefree for life.The multi-grooved stator contains a threefold winding which, together with the phase-shifting capacitor (series KD), creates a symmetrical rotating field at the rated working point of the motor.The rotor is of the squirrel-cage type. Two- or four-pole motors with a variety of design Iengths and diameters provide rated torques from 0.75 to 12.6 Ncm. Can be combined with reduction gear units, brakes, and tachogenerator systems.

Design features: Bright metal die-cast aluminium end shields, ball bearings and surface cooling by built-in fan ensure maximum life. The motor has degree of protection IP 44 when flangemounted. Insulation material to VDE 0530, corresponding to insulating class E, is used. Surface protection ensured by passivated casing or die-cast luminium casing. The stated power ranges are obtained with different design diameters and design lengths.

The motors are solidly designed and are maintenancefree for life. Design features: Bearing end shields and motor casing of die-cast aluminium. Field winding of stove-enamelled wire; rotor carried by ball bearings; integral seIf-ventilation.

VENETIAN BLIND DRIVES D/DCD

Since decades electric driven venetian blinds for the outside became established and meanwhile one cannot imagine big buildings without them because of comfort and efficiency. Dunkermotoren as a supplier of venetian blind motors was decisively involved in this development.

Today's venetian blind motors are the result of decades of experience and co-operation with manufacturers of blind systems. The constant development process, which results out of this co-operation, led to products of a high level in technique and quality.

During the development different requirements had to be considered. For example

The venetian blind motors are AC-induction motors for short-time-operation with mounted gear boxes. The motors are robustly constructed and maintenance-free during their life-time. The winding has a built-in temperature-switch, which protects the motor against damaging because of excessive stress. The rotor is a squirrel-cage rotor. The built-in electro-mechanical brake ensures a safe keeping of the load.

PLANETARY GEARBOXES/ WORM GEARBOXES

Worm gearboxes (SG) are noted for their very quiet running. The worm-gear shaft has bearings on both sides. The gear components, made of bronze or steel, and the lubrication ensure a long service life at the rated torque. In many applications, the location of the output shaft at 90° to the motor shaft provides an optimum design solution. On request, worm-gearboxes can be supplied with a hollow output shaft.

Planetary gearboxes (PLG) have the highest continuous torque capacity of all types of gearbox; at the same time they have a very compact form, low weight, and excellent efficiency. Self-centering planet gears ensure a symmetrical force distribution. The ring gear also forms the housing of the gearbox. The gearbox output shaft is supported in two ball bearings so that it can withstand high axial and radial loads. The gearboxes are customized, e.g. for use in especially low ambient temperatures, or as high-power gearboxes with reinforced output shafts, or with special lubricants for very long service life.
